Covenant Annual Meeting- June 2010-

The Covenant Annual Meeting was in St. Paul this year. We got to hang out with Aunt Carolyn a few times! It is always fun to see she and Wes! I was able to go to the worship service on Friday night, it was a bummer that Brent had to work but I was able to drive with my parents. This was a good thing, because there was a crazy thunderstorm that came through that night- and it was nice to have them in the car too. Gus was a trooper- we were there until 10! He met lots of friends, mine and my mom and dad's. Just another reason why I love the Covenant- it was so great to just chat and see friends that I haven't seen in years. I wish I would have taken more photos.
On Saturday, there was a nice family picnic on Raspberry Island. We got to hang out with Aunt Carolyn and Wes more- and Luke and Sarah as well. Sarah is such an incredible photographer- she took these of Gus- Thanks Sarah!

Gus and Luke and Sarah's son Zeke- he and Gus are 2 months apart- such cuties!!

It was great to hang out with North Park friends at worship on Friday- Greg and Hilary were there- as well as Carolyn Poterek- miss these great friends- yet again a great reminder of the how awesome the Covenant is.

BRENT"S First Father's Day 2010 June 20, 2010

Father's day was spent at the cabin this year.
It was fun to watch Brent play with Gus- and enjoy being outside.
I am so thankful to be married to Brent- for so many reasons, and I just
love to watch him as a daddy!

floating with dad- not too excited to be in the cool water-

Gus is 10 Months old- June 15 2010

Gus loves to stand, and walk around the coffee table/couches.
He also loves to stand at the window and look and the plants- many times I
have to stop him from grabbing them! Look at him on his tip toes!

Gus' Baptism

We are so thankful for our little man.
We had him baptized on May 23, at Edina Covenant Church.
We are thankful for the worship community there, and Ben Swanson our pastor.
Look at Gus' smile - he's ready! :)

It was a fun afternoon with many family and friends
at our place for lunch and celebrating Gus.

We are so thankful for our dear friends, Mike and Rachel Verdoorn.
They have shared the joy in him from the beginning.
They were some of our first friends that we told the news when we found
out we were pregnant- and came to meet Gus at the hospital on their way
home from the cabin.
They have been a constant source of guidance as they've been parents a few years
longer than the rest of us- and great friends too.
We are honored that they accepted our
request to be Gus' godparents.
We are bummed that we didn't get a good picture with them holding him,
in the busy day we missed pictures with them, and our family.
We'll have to make up for that in the future. :)
